Our client purchased an 89,000-square-foot historic building—the 1920s era former headquarters of the Long Beach Press Telegram newspaper—in order to restore and renovate it into a corporate office complex. The InPwr Inc. design included complete distribution and branch wiring electrical systems while preserving the original design aesthetic.
We also worked to make the building more environmentally responsible and safe for the current occupants. Our solution included installation of a daylight harvesting lighting control system, up-to-date UPS and fire alarm systems, a 1600 amp main switchboard, convenience branch power distribution including wiring for IT equipment, power distribution for HVAC equipment, a utility courtyard with pad mount switch and transformer, and interior and exterior lighting. The project, which concluded with 8,373 direct construction man-hours, was completed on time and without a single safety violation or incident.
