Rural America Serves the Heat with Honors
InPwr Inc. was served up the heat with an incredibly condensed schedule, high 90° Texas heats, and 90% humidity for one of it’s latest award-winning projects. Dollar General Corporation (DG) has interwoven itself in the “fabric of small-town America”, and it’s latest project and distribution center in the Eastern plains of Texas in Longview.
With over 15,000 convenience stores located across 44 states, 17 distribution centers, and 130,000 employees, DG’s sales have continued to rise despite retail’s overall trends, by providing value, easy-to-shop stores, and household staples to communities across rural America. When it came to their latest project, they undoubtedly wanted value themselves, along with value engineering, dependability, and a whole bunch of hard work.
InPwr Inc. was honored to rise to the occasion, master the schedule, and fight against the humidity and heat.
The task: a $10 million, 1.2 million sq. ft. distribution facility, with a site consisting of roughly 150 acres. It included a truck maintenance facility, dispatch office, pump house, and two guardhouses at the inbound entrances and outbound exits. Once fully in operation, the distribution center will employ 400 local workers, bringing a positive economic surge to this small city.
Best part? InPwr’s field teams not only met the demands of the project, provided value to the customer, but walked away with a national honor and Award of Excellence by Independent Electrical Contractors! Read more about the award-winning work and project detail here.
